NSCN slams Manipur Police, Assam Rifles and BSF for aiding Kuki Militants; Transporting illegal immigrants

Special Correspondent
Ukhrul, March 26:

In a scathing press release, the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), through its Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), has once again accused Indian paramilitary forces of engaging in unethical collusion with Kuki militants in Manipur.
The NSCN-IM stated that it had previously exposed the Manipur State Police for secretly providing supplies to Kuki militants stationed in Molhang Kuki village, Ukhrul. This revelation, according to the group, left no room for the state police to deny their involvement, as undeniable evidence had surfaced.
The statement further condemned the Assam Rifles (AR) for their long-standing collaboration with Kuki militants. The NSCN cited instances where AR vehicles were allegedly used to transport armed militants, particularly in Kamjong district and other parts of Manipur.
However, the latest accusations have turned toward the Border Security Force (BSF), which, according to NSCN-IM, has been engaged in the illegal transportation of unidentified immigrants from Churachandpur district. These individuals were reportedly dropped off at Litan village and its surrounding areas in Ukhrul district, where Kuki settlements are located. The organization denounced this as a calculated move to alter the region’s demographic structure and reinforce the presence of Kuki militants in Naga-inhabited areas.
The NSCN-IM also pointed out that the BSF has been guarding the Kuki militant camp at Molhang Kuki village for an extended period, a move it deems as a deliberate act of military cooperation between India’s paramilitary forces and the Kuki militant groups. The organization warned that such a relationship, which disregards all political logic, directly challenges the NSCN’s position as a group engaged in ceasefire negotiations with the Government of India since 1997.
According to the press release, the involvement of Indian security forces in aiding Kuki militants is not a recent phenomenon. The NSCN-IM claims that this nexus dates back to the early 1990s when the Meitei-dominated Manipur government allegedly nurtured Kuki militant groups to counter NSCN-IM activities.
Reiterating its firm stance, the NSCN-IM declared that Naga areas will not be used as a “dumping ground” for illegal immigrants transported by India’s paramilitary forces, whether from across the border or other non-Naga regions.
The organization’s statement signals a renewed tension between NSCN and Indian security forces, raising concerns about the fragile security situation in Manipur. The allegations, if proven true, could have serious implications for the ongoing political dialogue between NSCN and the Government of India.
