NSCN/GPRN reaffirms ‘no surrender’ stand, endorses collective leadership and framework agreement

Special Correspondent
Hebron/Ukhrul, June 19:
In a significant political declaration, the NSCN/GPRN has reiterated its unwavering commitment to the Naga national cause, asserting that it has never surrendered and will never compromise on the aspirations of the Naga people. The reaffirmation came during a Joint Council meeting convened at the Council Headquarters in Hebron, where leaders deliberated on critical issues confronting the Naga national movement.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the Joint Council unanimously adopted a series of landmark resolutions aimed at strengthening the organization’s political position and reinforcing its vision for the future.
Foremost among the resolutions was a strong declaration that the NSCN/GPRN remains firmly committed to the Naga national cause under the collective leadership of Yaruiwo Ino Q. Tuccu, Kedalo Ino Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Ino Th. Muivah, and Deputy Ato Kilonser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) V.S. Atem, VC. The Council emphasized that the organization has never surrendered its political rights and remains steadfast in pursuing the Naga people’s historical and political aspirations.
The Joint Council also unanimously endorsed the existing collective leadership, expressing confidence in its ability to guide both the organization and the Naga people through what it described as a crucial phase in the struggle for self-determination.
Another key resolution reaffirmed the NSCN/GPRN’s commitment to the historic Indo-Naga Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015. The Council described the agreement as the foundational basis for an honorable and inclusive political settlement and pledged to defend, protect, and uphold its principles.
Calling the present moment a defining chapter in Naga history, the NSCN/GPRN appealed to all Naga citizens, regional authorities, and supporters of the Naga cause to remain united and extend their full support to the collective leadership in pursuit of a lasting political solution.
The resolutions were issued through the MIP, NSCN/GPRN, from Hebron.
