Imphal, Dec 11:
Conrad K Sangma, the National President of the National People’s Party (NPP) and also the Chief Minister of Meghalaya said that his Party will lead the next Government in the State of Manipur in 2022.
With an exclusive interview at Heirangoithong, Imphal West District, Manipur with Media Cell, Npp Singjamei Block today, he said that only the NPP can solve all the problems faced by the people of the North East as the Party originates from the North East. He further said that though the Party is a National Party, its activities are mainly confined in the North East as the Party knows the aspirations of the people of the entire area.
He said that the people of the State had faith in different political Parties but they have not found the results that they had expected and cannot fulfil their gap and as such the people are now have full faith in the Political Party, NPP. This is a good sign. Now the NPP becomes a strong Political force in the State.
Sangma said that his Party will contest in forty seats in the 2022 State General Assembly Elections. The Election schedule is yet to be announced More Candidates may come and he expects that his Party should be a Single Largest Party and will also take a major role to form the next Government in the state of Manipur.
He said that the NPP is the only Political Party which stands for the North East. The Party always takes up the different issues of the entire area. The other National Parties have their National Agenda sometimes forgetting Regional Agenda but the Party never forget it, he stated.
