A large number of non-locals today staged at sit-in-protest against the bomb blast at a Pandal of Durga Puja at MG Avenue last evening killing one security personnel and injuring several others.Business in Thangal Bazaar was partially affected as all the shops and business establishments run by non-locals remained closed during the protest hours.It may be mentioned that a personnel of Manipur Police Commando was killed while several others including non-locals were injured in the blast which was set off by unidentified miscreants using remote control device at around 8 pm last evening. The bomb was blasted inside a Durga Puja Pandal at MG Avenue. The Durga Puja celebration was organized by Hundustani Samaj.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and Gaikhangam visited the RIMS hospital and inspected the condition of the injured victims.Speaking to reporters at the sideline O. Ibobi said that such an act is the most cowardice act. He said that those involved will not be spared.
