No letup in ILP protest

Even as the state government has constituted a delegation of all political party representatives, there is no dearth for protest of ILP in the state. Meira paibi organisations and school students continue to demonstrate various forms of protest at different places of the state while students’ union of colleges staged rally in Imphal city.At around 11 am today around 500 students of Manipur college today staged a protest rally demanding ILP from their college premises towards Chief Minister’s bungalow. However, the rally was halt by a team of Imphal West police at Moirangkhom . The students later returned back taking the same route where they started towards their college. Around the same timing, large number of students belonging to Oriental College Imphal also staged a protest rally with the same demand towards Imphal. The rally was however stopped by a team of Imphal west police at Sagolband Meino Leirak area. The police team made the student U-turn without much confrontation. Students of Liberal College also throng to the residence of MLA N. Biren and stage protest in front of the gate.
