No let up in ILPS protest; More including a class X going Vaiphei student join hunger strike

There is no let up to the protest for implementation of Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) in the state even as the state government has assured all the five points put up by JCILPS for inclusion in the government Bill. Following the agreement a team JCILPS members has agreed to hold talk with the government and the talk was held today.
Earlier yesterday the JCILPS has called on the people of the state not to impose any kind of road block agitation even though democratic protest has been advice.
Interestingly, 2 more persons including a girl studying class x at D Regina High School Chingmeirong began fast-unto-death protest today morning at Chingmeirong near Eastern Motors. The girl student is identified as Miss Ngaidoinei Vaiphei @ Boinu (16), Lalit Mohon of Chingmeirong West. The other person has been identified as Samurailatpam Krishnamani Sharma (age 52) son of (Late) Juge, secretary, Chingmeirong Youth Welfare Association.
At Takyel Kollom Leikai a person identified as Tongbram Chetan (26 years) son of Ibomcha had begun fast-unto death protest since yesterday evening at the waiting shed of Takyel Kolom Leikai.
At Khurai Ahongei too,  a student called Puremba also began fast-unto-death protest.
At Langjing area large number of women folk today staged a sit-in-protest without disturbing the commuters.
At Thangmeiband area large number people came out to the streets and stopped vehicular movement at various places as they had called 12 hours public curfew at Thangmeiband area in protest against the inhuman arrest of the two persons who has been undergoing fast-unto-death protest at Thangmeiband area.  After the two persons have been picked up another Meira Paibi continue the fast-unto-death protest at the same place. The two person as well as those students detained still resist to take any food. They said they will not ay force feeding until the JCILPS Bill is passed in the state Assembly.
The six person who had been undergoing fast-unto-death protest at Khurai Lamlong were also picked up by the police late yesterday evening. Soon after they had been picked another person continue the same protest at the same site.
Mentioned may be made that altogether 10 students and the two persons had been arrested so far for staging fast-unto-death protest. After the protest 5 more students continue fast-unto-death protest in front of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School, the site where the students begins the fast-unto-death protest.
As part of the Reconsolidation Campaign for Implementation of Inner Line Permit System in Manipur, women vendors, meira paibi, locals of Wangoi Thiyam Leisangkhong, Panghal (Muslims) of Wangoi area have staged a sit-in-protest today at Wangoi Bazar.
They also demanded to punish the police officers who are allegedly involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood.
The protestors also appealed not to disturb students who have been fasting at different places till the implementation of a permit system for non-Manipuris in the state.
