The College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Tura, Meghalaya, is organizing a two-day workshop on “Building a Strong Foundation: Understanding the National Curriculum of NEP 2020 on Early Childhood Care and Education” from March 25 to 26, 2025.
The event will be inaugurated by Meghalaya’s Education Minister, Rakkam A Sangma, and aims to provide educators, researchers, and officials from the Departments of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare with a deeper understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its impact on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
The sessions will cover key aspects of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), focusing on developmentally appropriate activities for holistic child development, foundational literacy and numeracy through play-based learning, parenting practices for early childhood growth, the role of toys in cognitive and social development, and inclusive education strategies to ensure equitable learning opportunities.
Renowned experts, policymakers, and academicians will share insights on effectively implementing the ECCE framework, bridging the gap between policy and practice.
