National Integration tour from Joupi to Delhi, Agra

Jhoupi Batallion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General (South) is organizing a National Integration Tour to Delhi- Agra and back.
The tour was flagged off by Commandant 29 Assam Rifles at Joupi village. The NIT tour consisting 20 students (09 boys and 11 girls), 03 teachers and team of 29 AR will visit various tourist and historical places in Delhi and Agra during 18 days long tour. The excursion tour consists of students residing in far flung areas lacking basic amenities required in day to day life and these areas are highly isolated from hinterland.
This National Integration Tour is aimed at providing an exposure to the students to the rich cultural heritage of the country and an opportunity to visit various places and interact with eminent dignitaries. The tour will imbibe a feeling of national pride and develop patriotism from an early age. The tour will definitely kindle ambition and dreams within students to find jobs in big cities. The children and team will be given an opportunity to interact with the Honble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju , Dr Jitender Singh of PMO Office and Lt Gen A B Mistry, AVSM, SM, VSM General Officer Commanding Delhi Area.
The students will visit various places of interest like India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Nehru Planetarium, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri before returning to Joupi on 23 Dec 18.
