Mysterious drone disrupts flight services in Imphal International Airport; Flight landing delayed

Multiple flights at Imphal International Airport experienced delays today as an unidentified Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) hovered persistently within the airspace. The ongoing presence of the UAV disrupted the routine operations of the airport, leading to a cascade of delays in both takeoffs and landings. The consequential impact has not only affected the flight schedules but has also resulted in extended duty hours for airport employees who find themselves grappling with unforeseen circumstances.
Sources within Imphal Times, connected to the Imphal International Airport, revealed that the Airport Authority faced challenges in promptly identifying the mysterious UAV, exacerbating the uncertainty surrounding the situation. Passengers, stranded by the delays, were left in the dark regarding the unfolding events within the airport premises, adding to their frustration and confusion. “We noticed a drone-like object obstructing the aerial ways at around 3.30 pm today and some of the flights have to land at the airport have to be delayed and at least one flight of the Indigo returned without landing”, a ground staff at Imphal airport told Imphal Times.
