The Adivasi Samanvay Manch is hosting the National Conference in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, from September 12-13, 2024, marking International Tribal Rights Day.
Mutum Churamani and Yumnam Rajeshwor from the Meetei Tribe Union attended the inaugural session of the Adivasi Samanvay Manch’s National Conference in Solan, Himachal Pradesh which focused on issues affecting tribal communities across India. Kh Jibon, former MLA of Ningthoukhong AC, was also present, highlighting Manipur’s representation.
Tribal leaders and representatives from across India gathered to discuss key issues affecting tribal communities, focusing on challenges such as industrialization, environmental threats, and the erosion of tribal rights and values. The conference featured region-specific sessions, addressing the problems and solutions of tribal populations in different parts of India.
Participants engaged in discussions about constitutional rights, tribal autonomy, and ways to strengthen communal ties in response to modern challenges.
