MSF and KSA urges for govt. attention to schools at Jiribam

Manipuri Students’ federation (MSF), Special Branch Jiribam and Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) Jiribam Branch has urged the state government to repaired the school infrastructures which has been damage during the hailstorm occurred on April 22 and April 23. In a press meet held at the office premises of MSF, Jiribam Branch, student leaders of both the students’ bodies said that during the hailstorm, most of the school building including the staffs room and Head Master’s room of Sorok Atingbi High School has been destroyed during the hail storms.
On the condition of the Borobeka Higher Secondary School the leaders of the two student bodies said that the school is presently run under the supervision of a Principal-in-charge whose qualification is only BA besides having many MA/M.Sc certificate holder teachers. While blaming the state government for concentrating only in Imphal area the two students’ bodies demanded deployment of a qualified Principal of the school. It further demanded to revoke the order for utilization of contract lecturer R.K Utam Devi to Lamlong Higher Secondary School. The two students’ bodies warn of serious agitation if the government fails to listen to the matters put up by them.
