MSCW team paid inspection visit to victim family

Imphal, April 6:

A team of Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) led by its Chairperson (i/c) Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang visited the residence of Pukhrihongbam Amomcha Singh of Khongjom Samram under Khongjom P.S. on April 4, 2022 to investigate into the death of Pukhrihongbam Ongbi Wahengbam Ningol Jasica @ Maimu Devi, aged about 28 years W/o, Pukhrihongbam Dineshwar @ Naoba Singh, aged about 28 years of Samaram Mamang Leikai under Thoubal District, Manipur. Deceased Jasica was found hung dead on April 3, 2022 at the kitchen of her matrimonial home at around 5:00 p.m.
Chairperson (i/c) is accompanied by two members and a legal advisor of the Commission. During the meeting, the visiting team met with the local leaders, neighbours, and close relatives of the deceased husband’s family. The visiting team also met with the 2nd O.C. of Khongjom P.S. in connection with the case.
The Commission has called a status report into the death of Jasica from the S.P.—Thoubal District in order to ascertain the cause of the dead of Jasica.
