MSAD wants homeowners to register housemaids

Manipur Students’ Association of Delhi (MSAD) today appealed to all the Manipuris residing in Delhi to register the names of their housemaids to MSAD. This initiative is taken up to curb the rising of child labour and the crimes related with them.
Speaking with media person today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal, Secretary, MSAD, Rajeev Mairenbam said that the no of child labour from Manipur in Delhi has increased tremendously in the recent few years. Most of the children belong to middle class families and they were taken to Delhi by giving false promises and recently MSAD had rescued some children who had been working as housemaids at the residents of Manipuri families. MSAD also said that it will launch a drive against drug abuse by Manipuris in Delhi. If the association finds any Manipuris abusing drugs in Delhi, it will inform to their respective families.
