MPCC leader alleges BJP links in NEET paper leak case

Ningthoujam Poplal, General Secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and in-charge of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), has levelled serious allegations against the BJP government in connection with the NEET examination paper leak controversy.
Addressing the media, Poplal alleged that the NEET question paper leak was not an isolated incident but part of a larger organised network involving politically connected individuals. He claimed that certain BJP leaders had allegedly procured the leaked question papers in advance and sold them to medical aspirants for huge amounts of money.
He further alleged that the paper leak exposed deep-rooted corruption in the examination system and questioned how such a large-scale leak could occur without the involvement or protection of influential individuals.
According to him, the controversy has severely affected the future of lakhs of students who had prepared for the examination through fair means.
Poplal also criticised the BJP-led government over the handling of the issue, alleging that repeated incidents of examination leaks and recruitment irregularities reflected administrative failure and lack of accountability. He claimed that public confidence in national-level competitive examinations was being eroded due to recurring controversies.
Demanding a transparent and impartial investigation, the MPCC leader urged the authorities to identify all individuals involved in the alleged racket, irrespective of political affiliation or position. He also called for stringent action against those responsible for compromising the integrity of the examination process.
