MLA of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency Sheikh Noorul Hassan today bats for the installation of CCTV cameras at various places in the Kshetrigao Assembly constituency to monitor the movement of illegal drug smugglers and users to support the War Against Drugs being taken up by the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.
Talking at the Silver Jubilee Observation of Kongpal Chanam Leikai Development Organisation at Imphal East, Sheik Noorul Hassan said that the CCTV will be monitored by the United Club of Kshtrigao Assembly constituency and will also take the help of the law enforcement agencies.
“It is our duty to safeguard our society by making it a drug-free society and for that, each of us has our responsibility to fight the menace of drugs”, Sheik Noorul Hassan said.
The MLA also stressed the need for monitoring developmental works being taken up in the constituency by the club members and other local bodies so that quality cannot be compromised. In connection with the Health care service, the MLA appealed to the Health workers particularly the Ashas to be sincere in rendering their service to the people.
“It is important for the Asha workers to be sincere as they are the grass root level workers to collect health-related issues of the people”, the MLA said.
Noorul Hassan also said that some of the School headmasters are not proving the Mid Day meal to the students properly.
“I have reported about some school headmaster or in charge not serving the Mid Day meal to the students. Such an attitude should be given up for the betterment of society.
MLA Sheik Noorul Hassan said that from the total of his local area development fund he will keep a sum of Rs. 50,000,00/- (fifty lakhs) as corpus fund for taking up of any developmental works by the various clubs of his constituency. He said after he had been elected as the representative of the constituency he is now for all the people of the constituency irrespective of who supported him in the election or not.
The MLA also appreciated the work of the Kongpal Chanam Leikai Development Organisation , Pukchaopat, Imphal East on its Silver Jubilee Foundation Day Celebration on completion of 26th Years. The Silver Jubilee celebration was also attended by Up-Adhyaksha Imphal East Zilla Parishad Kshetri Tama , Chief Conservator of Forest, Territorial-1, Longjam Joykumar Singh (IFS), Pradhan of Top Naoriya GP M. Dinachandra Singh, Pradhan of Thambalkhong GP Koijam Roma and President of KCDO Th. Keshworjit Singh.
