MLA K. Meghachandra urges repair of NH-102 to Tangjeng FCI godown road

Member of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, K. Meghachandra Singh, has urged the authorities to take up immediate repair and improvement work on the road stretch from NH-102 to Tangjeng FCI Godown, citing growing public demand and safety concerns.
In a letter addressed to Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal district, Hannah Kamei, IAS, the MLA stated that the poor condition of the road posed serious risks to daily commuters and disrupted the essential movement of goods and services. He pointed out that the road served as a vital link to and from the FCI Godown, and its deteriorated state had become a major concern for both residents and transport operators.
The letter further mentioned that the situation had worsened due to digging activities carried out by local residents, which aggravated the already damaged condition of the road.
Highlighting the urgency of the matter, Meghachandra requested the district administration to intervene and initiate the necessary steps for repair and restoration on a priority basis. He remarked that prompt action would help address public grievances and ensure safe and efficient connectivity.
The MLA added that cooperation in this regard would be deeply appreciated by the people of the constituency. A copy of the communication was also forwarded to the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, Government of Manipur.
