Congress MLA Khumukcham Joykishan today lauded the Samaritan service of the Bazar Community which has been providing breakfast and lunch to people who are staying at quarantine centers due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“Representatives of the peoples – both from the ruling and the opposition, including me should be ashamed of what the Bazar Community under the aegis of the Milan Enterprises and Junior Chamber International Imphal (ICONICS) have been rendering for the people at this hard times”, MLA Joykishan said while visiting the service provider at Thangal Bazar Today.
He said that the Congress Party to which he belonged too was in power for 15 years and there are no MLAs and Ministers in the ruling who could have come out to do the service that the Milan Enterprises have been extending. However, it is a matter of shame that none from among us come forward the way that the Bazar Community has been doing, Joykishan added. He further said that people who are at quarantine centers are facing problems in getting food as some of the locality that they belong too, are declared as containment zone. Besides, the curfew is an obstacle for family members to serve food for their near and dear ones staying at Community Quarantine Centers.
Mentioned may be made that MLA Khumukcham Joykishan had earlier appealed all representatives to at least bear the edible materials for those inmates at Quarantine centers while assuring to spend for those staying at the Quarantine center opened at RD Wing.
