Missing UNLF leader handed to Indian SF

Imphal, March 17: The top cadre of the proscribed group UNLF identified as Nabachandra @ Silheiba, who was reported missing since Feb. 11 from the outskirt of Dhaka in Bangladesh has been handed over to Indian security force. A reliable source said he was arrested by Bangladesh security force and later handed over to the BSF authority at Dawki in Meghalaya in the first week of March. The said leader of the UNLF was later remanded by a team of Imphal West police in connection with some cases registered against him. He was transported to Imphal West police custody yesterday, the source added.
