Missing teenager found dead in Jiri river

Jiribam, May 18:

The body of a missing teenage boy was discovered in the Jiri River on Friday, police have reported.
The deceased was identified as 17-year-old Seigoulen Singson, son of Seikholet Singson from Paithol Village in Tousem Sub Division, Tamenglong District. Seikholet Singson had been missing since May 14 at around 8 pm, prompting his family to file a missing persons report at the Tousem Police Station two days later.
The body was found floating in the Jiri River near Moulzawl Village in Jiribam District. Local police, along with officers from Tousem, responded to the scene and recovered the remains. The body has been transferred to the Jiribam hospital morgue as authorities work to determine the cause of death.
The investigation into this tragic incident is still ongoing.
