Internal Security Advisor of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Dr. Ch. Manoranjan escaped assassination attempt by miscreants at Langol yesterday night. According to report, unknown armed miscreants fire a gunshot towards him at around 9. 45 pm, while he was inside his residential quarter located at Game Village Langol. The bullet hit at his right arm. 52 years old Dr. Ch. Manoranjan is the son of Ch. Brajakishore of Pishum Leirak under Singjamei Police Station in Imphal West. He is presently staying at a type III quarter at Langol Game Village, which is allotted to him. He was immediately evacuated to RIMS hospital for treatment. His condition is stated to be out of danger.
