MCP, Manipur reaffirms stand on Boycott call

Rebel group Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today reaffirmed boycott call to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to the state. In a press statement the outfit said that it felt it necessary to call boycott to the propose visit of the Prime Minister in view of his programme. It said the PM is coming to the state to enjoy the Sangai Festival and to meet his party cadres at BJP office located at Nutyapat Chuthek Imphal. His visit has nothing to do with the welfare or development of the state, MCp, Manipur reiterated. The rebel group further said there is no change to the 17 hours general strike which is called by the group from the midnight of November 29.
