Miscreants set ablaze 4 wheeler vehicle in Senapati district

Unknown miscreants set ablaze one scorpion vehicle belonging to a candidate who had contested but was defeated in the last State Assembly Election in Taphou Naga village, Senapati district.
Report said that the incident happened in the wee hour today at the residence of one T. Robert Maram, the 52-year-old son of Tailu Maram of the same village
The vehicle with registration number NL 07CA 3522 belongs to T. Robert Maram, who is also contesting the Manipur Legislative Assembly election as the Independent candidate for the Tadubi assembly constituency in 2022.
Senapati Police came to the incident site and recovered some bottles which may have been used for petrol to burn the vehicle. Police registered a case for investigation. Tailu Maram, the father of T. Robert Maram, is also the village chief of Taphou Naga village. Villagers condemned the incident and demanded clarification.
The source said that the Tafou Naga village is only one and a half km from the Senapati police station.
