Miscreants burnt down a School Van at Pallel

Pallel, Sept. 22: Unknown miscreants burnt down a School Van parked along Aimol Road after one of its front tyre got punctured at Pallel in Thoubal District late last night.
A Tata Magic van, bearing Registration No.MN 05C 1922 used as a School Van was parked in front of Cherith Foundation along Aimol Road at around 3.00 p.m. after one of the front tyre got puncture.
And the vehicle was left parked along the road for the night as tyre repairing shops were all closed due to 24 hrs bandh of National Revolutionary Front of Manipur (NRFM).
At around 12.30 a.m., some unknown miscreants burnt down the parked School van and badly damaged the vehicle.
The ill fated school van was belongs to one Takhellambam Mukta @ Tombi (40) S/o (L) Budhachandra of Pallel Bazar.
One of the neighbour who joined the others in dousing off the fire last night told that at around 12.30 a.m. they ran out and saw the vehicle engulfed by the fire after someone raised alarmed about it.
And whole neighbour joined in dousing off the fire by carrying water from our houses, he added.
He further told that the fire from the vehicle will engulf the neighbouring houses if the fire was not extinguished in time.
Speaking to media persons, a driver of the School van told that after service he parked the vehicle along the road as one of the front tyre got puncture and removed it for repairing. And I left the vehicle along the road for the night as the tyre repairing shops were closed due to the bandh, he added.
He also maintained that the vehicle was burnt down by some unknown miscreants last night at around 12.30 a.m. And I have no personal amenity with any one nor any monetary demand from any organization, said the Driver.
While demanding to clarify the reason for the arson from the responsible person (s), The Driver also appealed the concern authority to book the culprit (s) involved in the incident at the earliest.
And he also expressed dissatisfaction towards the School Van Association of Pallel Area for maintaining silent over the incident even after informing them about the incident.
