New Delhi, Sept 7:
Textiles, Commerce & Industry and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen today called on Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries of India, Prahlad Singh Patel at his official residence at New Delhi.
While highlighting that fruits, vegetable, spices of Manipur are having high quality and exportable unique value in the international market today, State Industry Minister Nemcha apprised the Union MoS for Food Processing for special consideration for the development of Food Processing Industries in Manipur. The Minister also proposed for value addition Infrastructure to cover all the Districts of State to meet the huge demand and market of these fruits and vegetables in various parts of the world.
During the visit, Minister Nemcha Kipgen also handed over a proposal to Prahlad Singh Patel initiated by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh for development of infrastructure in the food processing industry.
Commissioner, Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Shri Pradeep Kumar Jha accompanied the Minister during the visit.
