Minister Letpao Haokip condoles the death of two Indians in Myanmar

Minister Letpao Haokip, who is in charge of TA & Hill, Horticulture, and Soil Conservation in the BJP led Government of Manipur has expressed shocked over the death of two Indians inside Myanmar territory.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened just like the rest of Moreh public”, Letpao Haokip wrote in his condolence message.
He further wrote that the news of the killing of two Tamil youths – P. Mohan (28years), S/o Late Perumal of Moreh Ward No.2 and M. Iyarnar (35 years), S/o Murga of Moreh Ward No.4 Tengnoupal district Manipur, in Tamu town of Myanmar does not come easy especially for Tamil community in Moreh.
“It is with ultimate great sorrow as MLA Tengnoupal AC to sincerely pass my Deepest Condolences to the grieving families of P. Mohan and M. Iyarnar who were brutally killed by unknown persons at Saw Bawr ward, Tamu, Myanmar on day 5th July 2022”, the Minister said.
Letpao also stated that the Manipur state government is doing its best level to bring home the lifeless bodies of the two Tamil youths.
Meanwhile, top police officials of Manipur police including the DIG Intelligence, tengnoupal SP and other police officials are presently camping at Moreh town. Source said the Government team is communicating with the Myanmar officials for retrieving of the death bodies. However, there is no official confirmation on whether the bodies will be handed over to Indian side or not by the Myanmar authority.
Following the news of the killing of the two Indian youths from Moreh Town tension griped the border town. Business of all kinds and movement of vehicles has been closed as people went on protest. The fury of the Indian cross limit yesterday. They even went inside the territory of Myanmar and reportedly set ablaze an outpost of Myanmar Army at Tamu area.
