MHRC recommends authority to provide psycho -Social care initiatives to 36 room inmate of Babysana

Manipur Human Rights Commission has recommended the state government authority to provide psycho-social care initiative to 36 room inmates of Ningthoujam Babysana Chanu who was found dead inside the hostel of the Standard Robarth School on July 18. The Commission also recommended the state government and other concern authority for implementation of the State Child Rights Policy. The recommendation was directed after State Corordinator of the Manipur Alliance for Child Rights file a petition to the commission. As per the complainant the draft State Child Rights Policy was submitted to the Manipur Commission for Protection for Child Rights and later to the Department of Social welfare, Govt. of Manipur in 2017 by MARC and CRY.
