Imphal, May 17: Three members of the Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board, Manipur MBOCWWBM identified as A Premkumar Singh, L Bimolchandra Singh and N Amusana Devi, in press statement urged concern authority to fill the vacant post of the Chairperson of the Board.
In a statement jointly signed by the three members, it is stated that according to a government notification, Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board by a government notification on December 16, 2015. However since April 25, 2017 the post remained vacant.
It further added that the Chairperson of the board should not less than the rank of the deputy commissioner labour. It urged the authority to appoint the post from among a nominee of the Central government.
