Meeting assesses Khudei Khuman, Machi clash

Imphal, June 22: To assess the situation at Khudei Khuman and Machi areas and ascertain the cause of tension between the villages, a meeting was held today morning with members of Chandel Naga Civil Societies, Naga Chiefs Association and Maring Upa Rup Assembly . The CNCR leaders met heads of MURA and told them to work with community leaders in solving the issues concerning the two villages and to follow the path of forget and forgive over the incident on June 20, 2017 to bring unity and peace in the region, CNCR said in a press release. In support of the Maring frontal organization in mobilizing relief and rehabilitation for the victims the CNCS, tribe leaders, and NGA promised to mobilize relief assistance in the tribe levels and to urge district administration of Chandel to provide essential commodities and medicines to the affected villages, it added
