Maoist welcomes TAMOA decisions

Imphal, July 28: Rebel group Maoist Communist Party Manipur (MCPM) welcomed the decision of the Teachers and Medical Officers Association (TAMOA) to suspend their stir of closing RIMS OPD against the suspension of a fellow gynaecologist after a woman died at the hospital while delivering a baby. The statement also lauded the respect shown to the party by resigning from their post.
MCPM statement showed serious concern to the new development at which anybody, organisations or any people do things at their own whims without caring the interest of the common people.
 “Closure of the RIMS-OPD, a means of public health care particularly for the poor for three days is a brutal crime against humanity”, the statement added and said that the party is always against such cruel crime against humanity.
The rebel group also appealed to stop any sort of intervention and disturbance to the activities and services of public health care department like hospitals.
It further states that  the recent movement regarding the RIMS-OPD was a big mistake in every step, and it is essential to monitor to try find out the truth or the wrong of the cause or the root of the dispute or the conflict between the two contradictory parties, adding that positive changes are expected from the premier medical institution in the near future.
