The Maoist Communist Party, Manipur greets the farmers of Manipur on the occasion of the harvest season. In a press statement, the outfit said that the harvest season is the most important occasion of the farmers’ community as well as the people of the state.The Maoists cautioned the farmers’ community to remain vest of the dangers caused by the big businessmen who usually monopolise market by collecting the products cheaper rote and sell then to the common people at higher prices.The Maoist further stated that the general strike called on the inaugural day of the Sangai Festival has been called off as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has postponed his visit to the state.
