Many injured at Moreh following a clash between pro-ILPS protestors and tribal community

Tension erupted at Moreh on ILPS issue, after around 7 (seven) people sustained injured following a clash between pro-ILPS protestors with a joint team of KSO volunteers and Non-Manipuris at Moreh today morning.
According to report reaching here, the ILP agitators carry out a mass rally showing solidarity to the ongoing movement for enforcement of a permit system for Non-Manipuris today at the border town.
KSO objected the 12-hours total bandh called by All Manipur Students’ Union and today’s mass rally carried out by pro-ILPS at the town to avoid disruption of normal life and disturbing the students in their studies. A heated verbal exchange ensued between the two parties, pro-ILPS protestors and joint team of KSO and Non-Manipuris.
Soon after the Tribal communities and the Non-Manipuris stormed and attacked the protestors near Moreh Gate No 2. They vandalized business establishments belonging to Meiteis and Pangal at Moreh Gate No 2.
The KSO and Non-Manipuris have torched the office of Meitei Council, Moreh Branch, Hotel De Khunai and two other dwelling houses belonging to Meitei community.
It is also reported that the group also took some mobile handsets and computers from a mobile shops.

After the incident, Meitei and Pangal have taken shelter at safer place.
Meanwhile, a team of Manipur Police has reached at the town to control the situation. The District Magistrate is likely to clamp curfew at the area.
