Many greet the people of the state on Eid-ul-Fitr

The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU), Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN), Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA), and Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) have extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur, particularly the Meitei Pangal (Muslim) community, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a press release, AMSU Information and Publicity Secretary Serto Rengneier Kom stated that on this annual festival, the union conveys its heartfelt wishes to the Meitei Pangal brothers and sisters, wishing them peace, happiness, and prosperity on the auspicious occasion.
HERICOUN Secretary (Publicity) Laishram Bishwajit stated that Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan and holds deep religious and cultural significance for the Islamic community.
Highlighting the essence of the festival, the release stated that Eid-ul-Fitr is a time for sharing happiness and compassion. It is celebrated through acts of charity, including distribution of food, clothes, and gifts to the needy, as well as through communal prayers and festive gatherings. The spirit of generosity and helping those in need reflects the true significance of the festival.
Meanwhile, KSA, in a separate statement, conveyed its heartfelt greetings to the people of the state, especially the Meitei Pangal community. The association noted that Eid-ul-Fitr is observed after the successful completion of the month-long fast during Ramadan, marking a period of spiritual fulfillment and joy.
KSA further expressed hope that the festival would strengthen unity, love, and mutual respect among all communities, encouraging peaceful coexistence. It also prayed that the occasion would help bring an end to the hardships faced by the people and pave the way for a peaceful, progressive, and harmonious Manipur.
