Imphal, Nov 6

Women Action for Development (WAD) expressed strong condemnation to the bomb blasts that injured 5 security personnel and a civilian at Thangal bazaar Imphal. WAD also expressed deep concern about Tamenglong bomb blast yesterday that injured a person seriously and also the bomb blast at Telipati on November 1 which injured 3 CRPF personnel. The WAD also expresses its condemnation to the triple blast at Moreh at separate places including high security area. WAD said that people now started living under extreme fear due to the frequent blast in the state.

Youth Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) also expressed strong condemnation to the series of bomb blast which occurred on 2nd November ,2019 at Telipati and 5th  November ,2019 at Thangal Bazar which threatens the civilians specially the daily bread earners of Ema Keithel and causing injury to the civilians and state security forces on duty.

“We highly suspect these series of blast as planned activities of the state to suppress the voice of the people having its vested agenda as none of outfit or armed groups had claim about the blast which had occurred in series. We also believe that such cowardice action is to enforce more paramilitary forces to the state in the name of insurgency problem to mute the voice of the indigenous people who have been deprived of its right by the Indian Security Forces since the Imposition of the “Armed Forces (Special Power) Act,1958.

We have a serious doubt that deployed paramilitary forces before the settlement of the Naga issue was not to make settle the issue of Naga peace talks peacefully but to have been deployed with other agenda to occupy the land of the indigenous peoples which is deposited with rich Natural Resources which one must not forget. We urge the involved parties to stop such threats to civilians immediately, respect International Humanitarian Law and stop forceful occupying  of Indigenous peoples land for the economic Interest”, a statement of the Forum said.
