Manipur violence: RAF actions add fuel to the burning Manipur

In a shocking revelation personnel of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) deployed here in the state to curb the violence that erupted in the state, have added fuel to the burning Manipur by destroying vehicles parked on the roadside and also by throwing stones at the residential area at around 2 am today.
Report said that at around midnight yesterday tension erupted in Canchipur area in Imphal West district after a large mob started blocking all sorts of vehicular movements along the route including the vehicles of the Security Force. RAF personnel also rushed to the site to control the mob.
Later, while returning towards Imphal the personnel of the RAF destroyed the glasses of the various vehicles using stones and lathis at Moirangkhom Area. The RAF personnel also pelted stones at the residential area near Brajalal Institute of Sciences in Moirangkhom area. The irresponsible action of the RAF personnel were caught in CCTV cameras installed in Moirangkhom area.
At Uripok side, the personnel of the RAF fired rounds of mock bombs and tear gas shells toward the residential area. Windows of Many houses were destroyed after the RAF personnel pelted stones.
“These security forces are fuelling anger to the people, we were staying inside our homes, and if we are not safe in our house then better, we go to the street”, a person told media persons.
