Imphal, April 28:

A statement issued by Yumlembam Nikesh Singh, the Public Relations Officer of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, has clarified that the authorities of the Assembly became aware of fake appointment results and appointment letters circulating in the media. These documents, dated February 7, 2025, and March 26, 2025, respectively, were purportedly related to appointments for regular posts such as Supervisor-1, MTS-5, FA-2, LDC-1, and Accountant-1 in the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The documents were published as a news item in the Hueiyen Lanpao News Daily on April 27, 2025.
The statement emphasized that the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat had neither issued nor notified any such appointment results or letters. The appointment documents in question were described as completely false and fabricated, with the claims being described as baseless and unfounded.
In response to the incident, a formal written complaint was filed at Lamphel Police Station on April 27, 2025. As a result, an FIR was registered at 1:30 p.m. on the same day, initiating an investigation into the matter. The authorities have urged the State Police Department to expedite the investigation and take appropriate legal action against those responsible for the criminal activity, in order to protect the interests of the general public.
