Manipur Government signs MoU with CBC and Mission Karmayogi to Modernize Civil Services

The Government of Manipur has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and Mission Karmayogi, aiming to transform public administration and governance in the state. The MoU signing ceremony, held at the Old Secretariat Conference Hall in Imphal, marks a significant step towards building a future-ready, globally competent civil service.
The strategic partnership is focused on enhancing the professional competence of Manipur’s civil servants through continuous learning and the integration of advanced technology. The initiative is designed to create a more adaptive and agile administrative framework while reinforcing accountability, transparency, and innovation, which are crucial for modern governance.
During the event, the Chief Secretary of Manipur highlighted the historic significance of the MoU, describing it as a commitment to equipping the state’s civil services to meet the unique challenges of its population. The initiative aims to align local administrative reforms with the broader national vision for a New India.
Under the agreement, civil servants in Manipur will gain access to the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform, enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills anytime and anywhere. This platform will bridge existing knowledge gaps and prepare officials to address contemporary governance challenges in line with Mission Karmayogi’s vision of a future-ready civil service grounded in Indian values and global standards.
The Chief Secretary expressed gratitude to the CBC and Mission Karmayogi dignitaries and called for committed participation from all officials. He stressed that the success of the initiative will depend on effective implementation and regular monitoring to ensure tangible improvements in public service delivery across Manipur.
