Manipur Bharatiya Janata Party legislators returned to Imphal today after participating in the first round of discussions at the BJP National Meeting held in New Delhi. MLA Th. Radheshyam had return yesterday. The meeting brought together BJP MLAs from Manipur for deliberations on the prevailing situation in the state, with a particular focus on restoring peace and stability.
Speaking to media persons at Imphal International Airport upon arrival, MLA Dingo Singh said the meeting marked a new beginning for the party’s efforts to address the crisis in Manipur. He stated that the discussions were held in a constructive atmosphere and centred on finding ways to bring lasting peace to the state.
According to Dingo Singh, party leaders reviewed the current ground situation and shared their perspectives on the challenges facing Manipur. He said the leadership stressed the need for unity, coordination and responsible political engagement to help normalise the situation.
The MLA expressed hope that the deliberations would translate into concrete steps in the coming days. He added that further rounds of discussions were expected as part of the party’s ongoing engagement on Manipur.
The BJP National Meeting is seen as part of the party’s internal consultative process to evolve a coordinated approach towards addressing the prolonged unrest in the state.
