A person was caught red handed while he was attempting to rape a housewife at Seijang Awang Leikai. Husband of the housewife found the man standing in the room when she was asleep. The incident happened on September 30 at around 10 pm while the husband was out for Durga Puja. Club members of Seijang Progressive youth club thrashed the accused and handed over to family member after advising him to appear at the club on October 1. However, as the person identified as Laishram Bhagya (28) , son of Khamba of Seijang village failed to turn up on the day the club members vandalized his house and drive him out of the village.
