Congress workers clash AITC workers in Hiyanglam By Poll campaign

With the poll date only 13 days left, campaign for the by election at Hiyanglam Assembly gear up by each political parties contesting the election. At what could be termed as ugly scene during the campaign, workers of the congress candidate Dr. E Dwijamani and workers of the All India Trinamool Congress candidate Dr. Yumnam Radheshyam today clashed over the construction of meeting platform at Langmeidong Public ground.According to report, workers of Congress candidate today came at Langmeidong Public ground and started constructing meeting platform for organizing an election campaign meeting. The meeting venue is just opposite to the residence of Dr. Yumnam Radheshyam, the Trinamool Congress candidate. On seeing the workers constructing meeting platform workers of the Trinamool congress candidate came out and tried to stop them as the location happen to be just opposite to Dr. Radheshyam. Over the refusal, heavy argument that took place between the two group resulted into group clashed. However, a team of police which arrived at the spot in time prevented the situation into turning to catastrophe.The incident happen at around 9 am and tension still runs high among the two group of workers as the congress candidate workers stand firm to organize the meeting at Langmeidong ground besides the strong objection from the AITC workers. Until 3 pm there was no solution between the two group each preparing themselves to go into action. Seeing the tense situation more police team has been re-enforced and stationed at the venue.
