MAAMBA to organize ultra–cycling event

Imphal Randonneurs, the ultra-cycling wing of Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) is organizing 400 BRM, an ultra-cycling event on January 30, 2021.
A press statement by the Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) said that the cycling event is a part of Super Randonneur series, an ultra-distance cycling series, which is being organized for the first time in the state. The event will be flag off from Palace Compound at 8am by Ms Nerupama Khuman, Social Activist and Mrs India Legacy Photogenic 2019 and flag in the next day at NCC Office, Thangmeiband after covering a distance of 400 km across eight districts in the state. The cycling event is a non-competitive event where riders basically focus on personal challenges to cover the distance within a stipulated time limit. Audax Club Parisien, Paris is the international governing body of Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRM) events and in India, Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) is overseeing the randonneuring events. This is a proud moment for all the cycling enthusiasts in the state as Manipur is now in the ultra-cycling map of the world.
