Imphal, July 18:

LPG distributors operating in Imphal today staged protest at the Community Hall of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai against the unbearable monetary demands by various groups and inadequate supply of LPG.
The distributors highlighted the critical situation, with LPG supplies decreasing and fuel lines choking, leading to widespread inconvenience for the public.
“We are left with no choice but to stop distribution of LPG as we cannot met the demand of the consumers due to inadequate LPG supply and the unbearable monetary demands by various groups”, Maibam Sukumar, a spokesperson for the group, told media persons.
The protest highlighted the urgent need for authorities to step in and provide a steady and sufficient supply of fuel and LPG. The distributors stressed that the public should not ignore the seriousness of the situation and urged them to support the call for quick government action.
Maibam Sukumar, appeals the authorities to take up immediate actions against distributors who are attempting to sell packed cylinders illicitly. He urged the authorities to carefully investigate and address these issues to prevent exploitation during the shortage.
