The long suffered Chowkidars of Primary Schools were dissatisfied for not acknowledging their service rendered more than 30 years and not giving preference in the recent appointment of Chowkidar cum Peon on contract basis under Autonomous District Council.
While speaking to media persons, CK. Leirung Maring of Phunchong village in Chandel District told that as per the recommendation of Village Authority he was working as a Chowkidar cum Peon at Phunchong Primary School without getting paid since 1986 till date with a hope of getting appointment one day.
And the then Assistant Inspector of Schools ADC Chandel M. Medun and Head Masters including the present Head mistress also recommended me for post of chowkidar cum Peon of the schools as a long suffered Chowkidar, he added.
He further told that after the Autonomous District Council Chandel issued a notification for the appointment of Chowkidar cum Peon on contract basis last year, he went for the interview which was held on 18-20 November last.
However, the concern authority appointed another person despite the recommendations of Village Authority, AI of Schools, Head Master and without acknowledging the long years I suffered as the Chowkidar of the School without getting paid, he lamented.
So, If any problem arises due to appointment of new chowkidar of the School, the concern authority who neglected the village authority recommendation and appoint the new chowkidar will held responsibility for any untoward incident, warned CK. Leirung Maring  DL. Modar @ Moses who was working as the Chowkidar of Leibi Primary School in Chandel District for more than 30 year also expressed dissatisfaction over the recent appointment.
Demanding a clarification from the concern authority for not giving a preference to the experienced and long suffered Chowkidar in the recent appointment, DL. Modar said that it is unfair, injustice and inhumane on the part of the concern authority of Autonomous District Council for not giving preference to the well experienced and long suffered Chowkidar who rendered more than 30 years service while appointing Chowkidar cum Peon on contract basis recently.
He also appealed all right thinking organizations to investigate whether the concern authority give preference to crisp note (bribe) rather the well experienced and long suffered Chowkidar during the recent appointment.
