Torbung Phougakchao Ikhai Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, Bishnupur District today morning seized 40 liters of local brew while being transported in a diesel auto at Torbung, Phougakchao Ikhai area.
Speaking to the media persons, one meira paibi said that the seized liquor was being transported in a passenger diesel auto from Imphal to Churachandpur.
Meanwhile, a local lady was also caught with 2 materials which were being use to brewed local wine by the Meira Paibis during a drive at the area.
The seized liquor and the materials were destroyed in front of the local people.
