LMS Law College students stage protest against selection of 6 non locals for MJS interview

Imphal, Nov 10: Students of LMS Law College today staged a protest demonstration in front of their college demanding rectification of the rules and regulation for the selection of the Manipur Judicial Service Grade –III.
Of the 27 candidates selected for interview for 9 MJS Grade –III post, 6 are reported to be non locals. The LMS Law College Students while denouncing the inclusion of the 6 non locals selected for interview blamed the state government for failure to frame a rules to the recruitment process.
The students however said that chances for dropping out of the 6 non-locals is high as the notification said that preference will be given to local indigenous people. In that case, it is better to give chances to the local people instead of selecting the 6 non-locals, the students added.
