Lions Clubs clean IMA Market and Mall Road

Lions Clubs International District 322 D launched its Swachh Bharat Campaign yesterday with a large-scale cleanliness drive at IMA Market and Mall Road, two of Imphal’s busiest commercial areas. The campaign was led by the Lions Club Imphal Valley in collaboration with Imphal Valley NextGen and carried out in partnership with the Imphal Municipal Corporation.
The drive was conducted under the leadership of GMT District Coordinator Lion Professor N Romi Singh and District Coordinator for Swachh Bharat Lion Manmeet Singh Arora. Around 130 sanitation workers, supported by private agencies and Lions volunteers, participated in the initiative. The Imphal City Police also coordinated the drive to ensure smooth execution.
The clean-up included systematic clearing of drains and the application of bleaching powder to maintain hygiene and reduce the risk of waterborne diseases.
