The Lions Club of Imphal Central, under Lions Clubs International District 322D, organised an awareness programme on menstrual hygiene along with distribution of sanitary napkins at Millennium School, Patsoi Block, Imphal today as part of its “Care for Her” One District One Activity initiative.
Around 150 girl students of Classes IX and X attended the programme. The function was attended by Club President Lion O. Jibanchandra Singh, MJF, Principal Keisham James, and counsellor Andriva Thounaojam of the Adolescent Health Programme, Imphal West.
Sanitary napkins were distributed to the participating students during the event.
Delivering the keynote address, Andriva Thounaojam spoke on menstrual health, highlighting the need for awareness among adolescent girls.
