Large portion of Kasom Khullen area sink; Holenphai village cut off from Moreh

A large portion of Kasom Khullen village has been reportedly sunk due to the incessant rains in the last couple of days which cause massive mudslide at the area. According to report reaching here around 300 houses were carried away by the mudslide at the village in Ukhrul district however, there are no report of human being missing as the villagers timely evacuated the houses and take refuge at safer place. The displaced people were today transported towards the Yairipok area by a team Kasom Khullen police headed by its OC. Meanwhile the suspension bridge which connect Hollenphai Village and Moreh has also been carried away by the river water last midnight. Since then the village has been cut off from Moreh.
