Imphal, March 22: Large number of undistributed Aadhaar Card including Job Card were found floating on Imphal River between Khurai Nandeibam Leikai and Salanthong area around 11 am today.
A local report to our staff that since the enrolment of the Aadhaar Card, most of the locality who have applied have not receive any of their enrolled card which should have delivered by mail or postal but unfortunately, large number of Aadhaar Card and the Job Card were recovered from the Imphal River while the locals were fetching water from the river today morning which is very unfortunate for the locals.
Known persons must have thrown the cards into the river for their own benifite, the local added.
Condemning the act, the locals demands for clarification at the earliest to those who have thrown their Aadhaar and Job Card into the river.
Meanwhile, one of the worker of Pradhan of the area report that the recovered Aadhaar Card were kept at the Khurai Nandeibam Leikai GP building which was broke in by some unknown miscreants by breaking the main door of the building.
The recovered Job cards were unnamed while the Aadhaar Cards belongs to the locals of Khurai Konjam Leikai, Khurai Sajor Leikai, Khurai Puthiba Leikai, Khurai Chaithabi Leirak, Khurai Thangjam Leirak, etc.
