Imphal, July 24: 10 more labourers of the CAF& PD godown of Sangaiprou today continue the fast unto death protest by locking themselves with chains at the road maiden of Tiddim road at Ghari Makha leikai near airport. The labourers of the CAF & PD godown were demanding increase of the labour charge for unloading and loading of PDS items.
The ten labourers who chained themselves as a part of the protest were all picked up by a team of Police. The labourers picked up today were identified as H Tomba (47), P Sunil (42), S. Romen (40), N. Ranjit (45), Kh. Brojen (45), Kh Thoithoi (33), T Bhubon (44), W Rajesh (40), H. Kunjaraj (48) and Thaimei Mani Kabui (43).
Yesterday labourers of the CAF and PD began their unusual form of protest atop the Bir Tikendrajit Fly over bridge. All the protestors were picked up by the city police and release them later.
