Kuki civil bodies warns to launch agitation

Imphal, August 24: The Kuki Civil Bodies warned to launch a series of intense agitations, if the concern authority fail to comply with the Orders of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Manipur and Home Department, Government of Manipur and shift the designated camp of Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) from Chandel District on or before 10th September. In a Joint Press Communique signed by respective Spokespersons and Information Secretaries of the Kuki Civil Bodies comprising the Kuki Chiefs Association (KCA) Chandel District; KCA Khengjoy Block, KCA Kana Block, KCA Gunpi Block, KCA Machi & Tengnoupal Block, Kuki Student’s Organisation (KSO) Chandel District and Kuki Peoples Forum (KPF) said that the concern authorities should strictly comply with the Orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide Order No. F. 9/7/2004T (Vol-vii) dated 18th July, 2014 and Home Department, Government of Manipur vide Order No. 6/1/(95)/2013-H and shift the designated camp of Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) from chandel District within the forth coming September 10. If the concern authorities fail to comply with the said Orders and not shifted the designated Camp of KNLF from the District within the stipulated time, a series of intense agitation will be launched and the concern authorities will be held responsibility for any untowards incidents, warned the Civil Bodies. In the Joint Press Communique, the Civil Bodies also expressed gratitude to the Central Government and the State Government for issuing the said Orders regarding shifting of KNLF designated Camp and to accommodated them in KNO/KNA designated camp/occupied area not in Chandel District.
